Remarkably bad customer service
I have been trying to assist an elderly friend transfer her funds out of her Merrill Edge accounts. We have called four times and have been on hold at least 45 minutes and as much as 60 minutes with no answer or we couldn't wait on hold any longer.
We are currently on hold for 35 minutes. I understand that sometimes there is a backlog of calls, but every time?! This is remarkably bad service. Surely they are able to measure and track the amount of time their customers are on hold.
Apparently, they're ok with these hold times. Good for my friend to get her funds away from this poorly run company.

Preferred solution: Unable to access my account since March 8th when I first wrote a letter to ML. I have also tried to contact ML by phone and have been on hold for as much as 36.3 Minutes. I am totally frustrated and need help. Thank you

Tried contacting Customer Service via e-mail and got informed that I need to deal the issue over phone.Held the Customer Service line patiently for close to 90 minutes (each time) continuously for 3 days (Friday, Monday, Tuesday) and issue has not been resolved....
I have been trying to work with Merrill Edge/Lynch to get this issue resolved and I am very frustrated with the quality of Service as it is completely lacking. The Merrill Edge 877 653 **** number has a wait time of close to 90 minutes and I have patiently waited multiple times to talk to a Rep without any corrective action.
I really wish I didn't have any accounts with Merrill because of pathetic service.
I am a Platinum Honors client and I am experiencing Service of this worst quality. I am not sure what I would have gotten if I was a regular customer.
